๐ฟ The 3-Day Calm Reset
A simple plan for when you're overwhelmed and don't know where to start

You don't need a complete lifestyle overhaul. You don't need a 30-day programme or a new morning routine or a complete rethink of your priorities.
You need three days. Nine small actions. And permission to start exactly where you are.
That's what this is.
Before You Begin
Read this once through before you start. Then come back to Day 1 when you're ready. There's no perfect time. There is only now, and the willingness to try something different.
Each action is small on purpose. Small is not weak โ small is sustainable. And sustainable is what actually changes things.
Day 1 โ Stop & Notice
Morning (5 minutes)
Before you look at your phone, sit somewhere quiet with a hot drink. Set a timer for five minutes. Do not do anything except breathe and notice. Notice how your body feels. Notice what's on your mind. Don't try to fix any of it โ just notice.
When the timer goes off, write down one word that describes how you feel right now. Just one word. That's all.
Afternoon (2 minutes)
At some point in the afternoon, step outside โ even just to stand on a doorstep or look out an open window. Take ten slow breaths. In through the nose, out through the mouth. Count them. Come back inside.
Evening (10 minutes)
Write down three things that happened today. Not three things you're grateful for โ just three things that happened. One of them can be hard. One can be neutral. One can be small and good. You're just practising noticing your life as it actually is.
Day 2 โ One Small Release
Morning (5 minutes)
Ask yourself: what is one thing I have been carrying this week that I don't actually need to carry? It might be worry about something you can't control. An obligation you agreed to out of guilt. A conversation you've been replaying. Write it down. Then write: I am putting this down today. You don't have to solve it. Just put it down for the day.
Afternoon (5 minutes)
Move your body โ gently, briefly. A short walk. Stretching in your kitchen. Ten minutes of movement that has nothing to do with fitness and everything to do with releasing what your body has been holding. Shake out your hands. Roll your shoulders. Let your body be a body for a few minutes.
Evening (10 minutes)
Do one thing this evening that is purely for you. Not productive. Not useful to anyone else. Something small that you actually enjoy โ a bath, a chapter of a book, a song you love at full volume in the kitchen. Just one thing. And notice how it feels to choose yourself for ten minutes.
Day 3 โ Build One Anchor
Morning (10 minutes)
Think about the last three days. Which of the nine actions felt most natural? Which one left you feeling slightly better than before? That one โ that's your anchor. You're going to keep doing just that one thing, every day, as a non-negotiable act of self-care.
Write it down: My one daily anchor is ___________.
Afternoon
Tell one person โ a friend, a family member, even just yourself in a voice note โ what your anchor is and why you chose it. Saying it out loud makes it real.
Evening
Sit quietly for five minutes. Not to achieve anything. Just to mark the end of three days of choosing yourself in small ways. Notice if anything feels even slightly different from where you started.
Then ask yourself: what's one more thing I could do next week?
